It the first netball session after the
humiliations, the netball session will never be the same again; interschool
competition wasn’t coach priority for today, coach asked the senior member to
take over his role to train the juniors while he held a committee meeting with
the committee members in the netball storeroom.
The main committee members are, Shelia
(committee member), Cheryl (committee member), Alison (junior committee
member), Wei Wei (junior committee member), Jia Hui (Honorary Secretary), Hui
Ling (Assistance Team Captain).
“Girls, before we start the committee
meeting, I would like to announce that Jess the team captain has request to
step down as the team captain for the school team, after careful consideration
with the teacher in charge Ms. Low we decide to accept her resignation and Hui
Ling will take over Jess position as the team captain, Jess will still remain
in the netball team as a committee member. Shelia will take Jia Hui positions
as the Honorary Secretary and Jia Hui will take Hui Ling position as the
Assistance Team Captain. Now, does the committee’s accept Jess resignation?
Please raise up your hand if you disagree with her resignation.”
*Quiet…*
“Okay, Now, Jess will address the committee
on the issue of her resignation”
Taking over the mic from coach, Shelia has

“Coach Leong, Team captain, honorary
Secretary, committee members, juniors, thank you for accepting my resignation.

at Jess contribution to the netball team for the past year and after serious

“Alright committee members you may leave,

*Committee members leaving…
“Jess what happen?” Shelia asked me.
“uh… Shelia… I’ve to be honest to you. I’m

ordered Shelia to cane me every single time I didn’t catch up with Hui Ling
speed, I normally spend 3minutes to move from the storeroom to the washroom

later discover that Ms. Low is also a ex-captain for the school netball team, coach
was trying to look for another girl after Ms. Low graduated from the school to
take over her ‘position’ and I’m the one chosen by the coach.

will be giving all our netball girls a break, training will resume only at 4th
week of school holiday. However, I’ve decide to sponsor a trip for you girls
and… Ms. Low to bintan for a trip to relax and also to reward you girls for the
wonderful performance during the netball competition last year. Alright, you
may leave now training ends here today.”
The night before the bintan trip, I receive
a message,
Coach: (Message) Pack your bag with 1 FBT
shorts and 7 Set’s of bikinis. I don’t want to see anything in your luggage
other than these. Attire when you travel to the ferry terminals, FBT shorts and a sweater.
